We aim to ensure that the goods and services we procure are produced and supplied in a way that has a positive impact on society and the environment while still satisfying our commercial needs for quality, reliability, innovation and value for money.
This definition of sustainable procurement and our expectations of suppliers are set out in our Partnering with Suppliers (link to PDF) standard that all suppliers are contractually obliged to follow. Achieving these standards presents unique challenges in different parts of the world, so our approach is to work in partnership with suppliers to improve performance together.
